The Punt Acca: James Stevens' three selections at Windsor and Plumpton

Encashment(3.20 Plumpton)

Ben Pauling's runner has been going close to a breakthrough win all summer and her Uttoxeter second in September was particularly encouraging. She travelled well into the race and looked outstayed by the winner, so a switch to a sharper track could benefit her. 7lb claimer Dylan Whelan got a good tune out of her the only time he rode her so his booking is a further positive.

Showman (3.35 Windsor)

This lightly raced three-year-old looked desperately unlucky not to win on his penultimate start and must have leading claims in a similar race off only 1lb higher. He attempted to come from last to first in a 1m3f handicap at Kempton and after disputing the lead, he just could not get his head in front against a more battle-hardened rival. He didn't fire on his only run since but is interesting now back on the turf. He had been steadily improving up until his last run so if he can bounce back, he should have a leading chance.

Frantanck (4.10 Windsor)

Has been disappointing in two runs since going handicapping but has the ability to win a race at this level. Everything went wrong the first day at Sandown and he was too keen when last seen at Newbury in August. His only win came on his seasonal reappearance so a 65-day break could have helped and he is now dropped back in distance to a mile.
