Melody King (3.45 Hamilton)

John Quinn's runner arrives here in decent shape, having gone down by a length when fourth and third on his last two starts. He was well supported at Pontefract last time but pulled hard which ultimately cost him his chance. On ability he has every chance of winning this and he looks well handicapped, while he seems versatile in terms of the ground.

Glam De Vega (4.45 Hamilton)

Andrea Atzeni makes the long trip north to ride this unexposed three-year-old who has shown a fair level of promise on three starts. He loomed dangerously but could only finish second behind the talented Walk Of Stars at Nottingham last season and subsequently had no problem going one better at Ripon. He is open to plenty of improvement from an opening mark of 83.

Arab Cinder(8.05 Chelmsford)

I have my doubts about a few of these but this three-year-old has looked good enough to win a low-grade handicap and may well improve for an increase in trip. She is making her first start for Roger Varian, having stayed on well when unlucky in two 7f handicaps. She should have much more to offer and the William Knight stable do well with new recruits.
