Flat White (1.55 Lingfield)

Lucy Wadham's runner is back over hurdles following a successful summer spell where she won twice and placed at Catterick yet her jumps form already reads pretty well. Her second and third-place efforts in decent maiden hurdles at Uttoxeter and Wetherby were encouraging, while she was behind some good types in a novice handicap at Sandown on her most recent start in this discipline. She gets weight from most of her key rivals here and can transfer her recent success to hurdles.

Percy Veering (3.25 Lingfield)

There is not much substance to the form from Percy Veering's six starts but there was some promise in his defeats in 2m hurdles when his future ultimately lies over fences and further. His initial start over fences was okay too. He travelled and jumped well before falling and everything about his profile suggests he should be better than an 85-rated prospect. He is open to plenty of potential and this looks a weak race.

Lord Paramount (6.50 Wolverhampton)

Although beaten at odds-on, Lord Paramount ran fairly well following a long layoff at Kempton last month. He led and showed a decent cruising speed throughout before the challengers swallowed him up in the final few strides. The winner that day, Brewing, was scoring for a second time and may well be a very good horse. Roger Varian's runner could come on from that first run back.
