Warwick Placepot: Paul Kealy has two bankers on a competitive card
Warwick serves up a competitive midweek card, and with three places for every race (before non-runners anyway), it's perfect for a Placepot.
was so green on his debut at Wincanton last month, particularly in the jumping stakes, and he will surely improve a lot. Given his fourth there is already some of the best form, Alan King's charge is a confident selection in leg one (1.10).
King's Peace River is the form horse in the next (1.40), but he ran so poorly last time and can be left out. makes some appeal, as does the consistent .
In the next (2.15), started life with an unrealistic handicap mark, but has been running well and looks nicely treated now, while point winner is interesting going over fences so early.
is the main fancy in the next (2.50), but it is competitive and I can see running well at a price too.
The ten-year-old looks the obvious one in the fifth (3.25). It's two years since he ran over fences but he's 28lb lower than when he last did, and he ran well enough over hurdles last time.
The final leg (4.00) is seriously competitive, but has gone well after a break before and is fairly handicapped, while is a course winner coming into the race in fine form.
