'The King George is the plan and he's bouncing - he's in a good place'

Paul Nicholls, trainer of Clan Des Obeaux, Cyrname, Frodon and Real Steel
Cyrname worked on Wednesday morning and we’re very happy with him. Clan Des Obeaux is back cantering after his run in the Betfair Chase, so they’re both well on course. Real Steel is going to run as well and will have improved for his run last time. Frodon runs on Saturday – his owner Mr Vogt is keen to run at Kempton so he could well go to the King George as well.

Harry Whittington, trainer of Saint Calvados and Simply The Betts
We’re more likely to run Saint Calvados as long as he’s all right. He had to miss the Betfair Chase as he had septicemia and had to have a few easy days. He’s back cantering and as long as he keeps coming forward we’re looking to run him and things seem promising for that. Simply The Betts we’re either looking at the Peterborough Chase or the Caspian Caviar for him.

Ruth Jefferson, trainer of Waiting Patiently
He won't run in the Tingle Creek because the ground is not going to be soft enough at Sandown so the King George is the plan. He's absolutely bouncing, he's in a really good place. We won't know whether he stays until we try it but he switches off and he settles.
