The Irish-trained gelding won with ease at Catterick to make it a third success in the past six months in Britain. He was giving 9lb and more all round then, and he will be suited by this trip and going.

Harry Senior’s race on Welsh National day at Chepstow was also won by former winners of this Be Be King and Deputy Dan. At Aintree he was a length behind Edwardstone, who has been closer to Fiddlerontheroof than other horses this season.
