The Evening Punt: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Wednesday

Earth And Sky (5.40 Kempton)

The first of two horses I'm tipping tonight that I put in this column the last time they ran when they were beaten. However, the reasons for both their defeats look quite clear and in the case of Earth And Sky, it was the drop back to 7f. George Scott's three-year-old looked to be improving at a rate of knots this winter with two ready successes over a mile at this track before finding the drop in trip too sharp last time. He seemed to just lack the same sixth gear as the eventual winner Champion Brogie when they quickened and although he hit the line strongly, his chance had already gone. He now returns to his favourite trip and I don't think the extra 1lb rise will stop him from getting back to winning ways.

Lady Adelaide (6.10 Kempton)

Unexposed daughter of Australia who hasn't been consistent with her performances in five starts to date but recorded her sole success at this track and looks worthwhile following based on her staying-on sixth at Chelmsford last time. She was given plenty to do that day, positioned right at the back of the 14-runner field, but weaved through in the straight to pick off the majority of her rivals. The big field didn't play to her strengths and although she moves up in class from a 0-80 to a 0-85, this field doesn't look much stronger. A 2lb drop in the weights will help and she remains open to improvement on the all-weather, especially as this is just her second start wearing a tongue-tie.
