BANKER

Chimney Rock(8.17 Aqueduct)

Trainer Mike Maker is dropping this extremely talented juvenile back into allowance optional claiming company, a huge downgrade in class after finishing a fine second to the speedy Four Wheel Drive in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint, and he should capitalise. A one-time winner from six starts, Maker clearly wants to boost the wins on his CV and the plan should pay off barring incident. His last-time-out speed figure, when beaten just three-quarters-of-a-length in the Santa Anita Grade 2, is miles better than anything else in the race and his previous runner-up efforts at Keeneland and Kentucky Downs also look good in this context.

EACH-WAY PLAY

(7.10 Kempton)

A double-figure price about Conrad Allen's five-year-old is surely too big given her promising reappearance effort here last time on her first start since undergoing a wind operation. Voi, who recorded her sole all-weather victory over this course and distance in February, appeared to benefit from a short break and wind surgery when travelling powerfully through a similar contest at the start of the month. She blew up in the final 100 yards but will come on plenty for that effort and is respected under Angus Villiers, who rode a winner at Southwell this afternoon.
