EACH-WAY PLAY

(5.20 Chelmsford)

Extremely talented sprinter two or three years ago but hasn't won since landing the Group 1 Champions Sprint at Ascot in October 2017 and now finds himself dropped into handicap company for the first time for over four years. The clear ability angle in this race, Librisa Breeze ran creditably on his first outing over a mile for a long time when last seen and shouldn't be inconvenienced by a small field tonight. With just eight going to post, and at least three of them looking to find life tough in this affair, the 9-1 about Librisa Breeze looks well worth taking.

AMERICAN ANGLE

(7.28 Aqueduct)

Two-year-old daughter of former Kentucky Derby winner Orb, who has produced several 90+ rated (speed figures) offspring since retiring to stud. Persisto could easily add her name to that category in time and has run well on both career starts, finishing in the places without getting her head in front. Kelly Breen's filly took second in an average Monmouth maiden special weight on debut (caught late on after trying to make all) before showing significant improvement to take third here when last seen. That race will probably work out well and although reopposing rival Indawin holds her on form, she might get the run of the race out in front tonight.
