The Evening Punt: Tom Collins' free horse racing tips on Friday

BANKER
Harry's Ridge(8.00 Wolverhampton)
My nap of the week. Harry's Ridge looked much improved on the third of three outings in novice company (first start over 5f), recording an RPR of 54, before having a 176-day break. He's a four-year-old, so has obviously taken time to come to himself, but looked certain to win a race sooner rather than later when a strong-finishing third on handicap debut over this course and distance last time. He was outpaced early and looked to have no chance after a furlong, but stuck on powerfully and wasn't beaten far at all at the line. He has been given a plot draw in stall one and is undoubtedly well-in off the same mark of 53.
EYECATCHER
Not a prolific winner by any means (4-25 career record) and hasn't entered the winner's enclosure since May 2018, but has only recently moved to Robert Cowell's yard and it shouldn't be long before he capitalises off his falling handicap mark. Able to run off a mark of 87, which is 16lb lower than his career high and 6lb lower than his last success, Savalas put in his best effort for some time when a fast-finishing second behind the reopposing Acclaim The Nation last time at Chelmsford. He was well punted on that occasion, which is always a good sign from this yard, but didn't enjoy the best of passages and should appreciate a stronger gallop at this track.
