David Simcock's 350,000gns purchase has disappointed in two runs to date but looked green both times and seems to be crying out for a step up in trip. He has hit the line powerfully on both outings, including when sixth of 14 at Yarmouth on debut in an unbelievably hot novice contest won by King Of Comedy. There have been five subsequent winners from that race and although Dr Jekyll didn't build on it last time at this track, he had a break in between and wasn't suited by the way the race panned out. I expect him to be better than a 77-rated horse, and therefore he should be able to beat the John Gosden-trained To The Moon, who is his main danger on form.
