Ralph Beckett's Kingman filly looks open to further improvement on just her third start on the all-weather and sixth run overall, and certainly shouldn't be overlooked in this weak staying handicap. Philonikia hasn't troubled the judge so far in her career but ran well when fourth of ten at Doncaster on her penultimate outing and should be able to go close off this 2lb lower mark. You can put a line through her latest effort when the soft ground at Ripon curtailed her finishing effort and she clearly didn't take to first-time cheekpieces either. She has a nice draw in stall five tonight against weaker opposition and you'd assume connections believe she is better than a 65-rated horse.
