Karen McLintock's sprinter hasn't won for a year but has been consistent in defeat on the whole, goes well on the Tapeta here and is back at his favoured trip of 6f after three efforts over further recently. Able to race off 5lb lower than when last successful, Avenue Of Stars has fallen down the ratings thanks to some midfield finishes over the last few months but he's had plenty of excuses and should be able to get a prominent sit tonight in a race that seems to lack a real front-runner.
