That performance was bettered still on handicap debut at Newmarket back in September when Dogged broke his duck, staying on powerfully to beat a previous scorer (second) and subsequent Listed winner (third). He was described as being 'unfurnished' in the race comments that day, so the break since then will have helped him, and he can continue his upward curve in this competitive contest.
