This race is full of well-handicapped improvers, most notably Paths Of Glory, but he is drawn in stall 11 of 11 and I would rather take a chance on John Gosden's El Misk bouncing back after a defeat when last seen. The Dansili colt is undoubtedly well treated off a mark of 93 given his penultimate victory, a two-and-three-quarter-length score over a Sir Mark Prescott-trained runner who was seeking a four-timer. He unfortunately couldn't follow up in a three-runner affair at Yarmouth on his latest outing but the race didn't pan out well for him and he should appreciate the return to the all-weather.
