Last season's Coventry winner took a giant leap forward from his first run to spring a 150-1 surprise at Royal Ascot and I'm expecting big improvement from his fourth in the Greenham over 7f last time, where he shaped as if the step up to a mile will suit. That run convinced me he has trained on and my selection has top-class juvenile form, finishing a two-length second to Campanelle in the 2020 Prix Morny. That is the clear standout form in this line-up and while this running of the Heron Stakes looks strong, he is worth supporting at fair odds of 9-1 given his ability to handle soft ground.
