The Evening Punt: James Stevens' horse racing tips at Musselburgh on Saturday
BANKER
Roach Power(5.05 Musselburgh)
This colt will hope to emulate his classy half-brother Art Power who stepped up from his debut second to win easily. Roach Power showed plenty of ability himself on debut at Carlisle, travelling well from the rear to stay on well and finish second against a more experienced winner who went on to run in Listed company. That second-place effort was over six so this additional furlong looks like it should suit the son of Ribchester. The Tim Easterby yard come here in good form after a winner yesterday.
DARK HORSE
Sixcor(6.50 Musselburgh)
A step up to seven furlongs is also on the agenda for Linda Perratt's representative after finishing third of 18 runners in a decent race at Redcar last time out. The first and second clearly thrive at the track and filled the top two spots in a similar race there at the start of August, while Sixcor ran as if this seven-furlong trip would bring about further improvement. He has ran at this trip before, but not in a handicap. His mark was reduced a 1lb after Redcar but he's running consistently and he makes plenty of each-way appeal.
