This two-year-old son of Kodi Bear looked winner in waiting when a close second at Chelmsford last time. He was a little slow out of the gates and was badly hampered in the first few strides. Angus Villiers switched him to the rail but his chance looked to be gone as he was detached turning in. Yet he made rapid late headway, showing a good turn of foot and was only beaten a head. He races off 5lb higher here but should prove better than that mark if things go more to plan. The stable had a winner the other day and this one looks poised to go close.
