Tom Clover had a winner yesterday and looks to be well represented in the Chelmsford finale with this son of Foxwedge. He comes here off the back of an encouraging fourth in the amateur Cambridgeshire at Newmarket, and that race may have been a key target having won it the previous season. He looked to be travelling well at one point, but did not get the smoothest of passages, and fitness may have been his undoing on his first run off an 85-day break. That said, he has won fresh before. Now with another 1lb off his mark, this might just be the day he fires right back to form. All three of his all-weather runs have been decent while the booking of champion jockey Oisin Murphy is also pretty significant.
