Taunton Placepot picks: Paul Kealy has an early and late banker on Thursday
We may well get some non-runners should the ground soften dramatically at Taunton, but it's easily the most competitive jumps card in Britain and the obvious choice for a Placepot play.
In the opener (2.08) is much preferred of the recent winners, while ran well on his return for Laura Young and can improve again back up in trip.
In the next (2.38) looks banker material. He travelled sweetly through his race at Ludlow last time but found little and the 2m5f trip might have stretched him. Going down two furlongs could be the answer.
Benandgone arguably has the best form in the next (3.08) but it came at 200-1 and is questionable, so , just behind him last time, is preferred, especially over this trip, while Flat recruit won't have to be anything special to go well in this company.
In leg four (3.38) has been consistent lately and should run his race again, while has been found a weak race for his chase debut by in-form Chris Gordon.
Only two places are available in the next (4.08), so we'll go with , who is fairly treated for his handicap debut, and , who may have needed his run last month at Huntingdon and can be competitive on his earlier form.
There are only five in the last (4.38), but we'll bank again as is a fairly confident selection.
