It is time to pull the winter jacket out from the back of the wardrobe and make your way to Navan as the first jumps meeting of the new season takes place at the County Meath track.

Tamlough Boy represents local trainer Noel Meade in the opening 2m maiden hurdle (1.45) and the five-year-old should have strong claims of continuing his trainer's fine run.

Having inflicted the only defeat upon subsequent Grade 1 scorer Blow By Blow in a bumper last December, Tamlough Boy didn't quite progress as you might have hoped, failing to score in his three subsequent starts in bumpers.
