Talented chaser can continue Elliott's superb run

Faugheen was beaten on his comeback run last season and Vroum Vroum Mag was defeated last weekend. Now they were both beaten by very good horses and did little wrong but it's patently clear that Willie Mullins trains his horses to peak for the big bucks at the end of the year at Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown.

On Sunday he unleashes two of his stable stars in Douvan and Djakadam and while both are likely to be near their best, the chances of them being at their peak is slim.

That shouldn't stop Douvan winning as he is taking on a field of horses that are considerably inferior and it would be a massive shock if he was to lose his unbeaten record. Although it's hard to be totally convinced he's the unbeatable superstar everyone says he is, Douvan is undoubtedly top class and should win in a canter.
