Richard Whitaker and Lewis Edmunds have individual strike-rates of 14 and 29 per cent at Pontefract. That rises to 67 per cent when they
combine, which they do with Penny Pot Lane (6.10).

David O’Meara is 29-183 – a 16 per cent strike-rate – with his handicap debutants. Backing all such runners to a £1 level stake would have yielded a profit of £48.08. Isabella makes her first handicap appearance in the 4.35 at Pontefract.
