Sweetspots: Tongue-tied Al Shahir set to pay for Skelton’s petrol

Dan Skelton has a 29 per cent strike-rate at Carlisle and strikes at the same regularity with horses wearing a tongue-tie for the first time. He’s represented by Al Shahir in the 1.30.

Ben Pauling has a decent 21 per cent strike-rate at Huntingdon, which increases to 40 per cent with hurdling debutants. He saddles the Invincible Spirit gelding Bold Reason in the 1.45.

Tom Gretton has a 25 per cent strike-rate at Huntingdon and saddles course-and-distance winner Jackthejourneyman (2.50), who is 3-8 at the course.

Keith Dalgleish has a 37 per cent strike-rate over the past fortnight and a 32 per cent strike-rate with bumper debutants. He’s doubly represented by Alright Sunshine and Beast Of Belstane in the 4.15 at Carlisle.
