Sweetspots: Spirit looks set to improve Gosden and Havlin record

Credit: Harry Trump

Aliandy looks set to go well in the 4.55 at Warwick despite making his first appearance for 391 days. The seven-year-old has defied a similar absence in the past and looks fairly treated for his return.

Take note when John Gosden and Robert Havlin team up at Newcastle. The pair are operating at a 48 per cent strike-rate at the venue and can enhance their record with Playfull Spirit in the novice event at 7.45.

Grecian King is interesting in Wolverhampton’s 3.25 now he tackles a longer trip. The five-year-old stayed on well over 1m2f at Chelmsford after a campaign over hurdles so should be better suited by this test.
