Nick Alexander could hardly have his string in better form as he has sent out five individual winners from seven runners in the past fortnight. He has two declared at Carlisle, Massini’s Lady in the 2.35 and Wicklow Lad in the 4.55, and both look to have strong claims.
Top Wood just gets in at the top of the weights for the 0-125 handicap at Wincanton (2.55) and it’s interesting to note that he has plenty of entries over the next few days. That suggests that this was either his best opportunity or that connections want the option of running him again under a penalty if he’s successful here.
