Sweetspots: Hughes can triumph again at Ascot on Waiting Patiently
Scorpion Sid2.25 Haydock
Jamie Snowden has an impressive 67 per cent strike-rate at Haydock and he sends this course winner to the Merseyside track, his only runner of the day.
Waiting Patiently3.55 Ascot
Brian Hughes has a 43 per cent strike-rate at Ascot and goes there to ride the eight-year-old. Trainer Ruth Jefferson clearly holds the gelding in high regard and he was very unlucky to unseat when hampered in the King George last time out.

Little Palaver6.15 Kempton
When Clive Cox and Amelia Glass team up at Kempton it’s worth taking note. They have a 33 per cent strike-rate when combining at the course and do so again on two occasions, with the pick of those being Little Palaver. The seven-year-old seems to be in good heart and goes well under today’s apprentice.
