Sweetspots: have faith in Dutiful Son to bring home the bacon
Brian Meehan has been in good form and sends two to Bath, where he operates at a 34 per cent strike-rate. Epicurious (7.40) looks the more interesting, sporting first-time cheekpieces (Meehan 6-17, 35 per cent) and stepping into handicap company for the first time.
Luca Cumani has just one runner at Yarmouth, Dubara, in the 3.45. The trainer operates at a 38 per cent strike-rate when combining with Jamie Spencer at the track. Although going up 4lb for finishing second last time out, this filly looks like she can carry on improving in this deeper contest.

Dutiful Son has an impressive 5-18 record at Kempton, where he runs in the 8.55. When racing over 6f at the track his form figures read 10111, with the unplaced run coming in a Class 2. He has won off this mark over course and distance and should be primed to run well.
James Tate has been in superb form the past 14 days and sends just one runner to Catterick, a track where he operates at a 50 per cent strike-rate (7-14). Mraseel goes in the fillies’ nursery (2.45).
