Sweetspots: Handicap should be a breeze for Desert Wind
Credit: Edward Whitaker
Desert Wind (1.50 Sandown) enters handicap company on the back of three wins. Trainer Ed Vaughan is 7-32 (22%) with handicap debutants (+£11.75) and there could well be more to come.
Handiwork is out to win the 5.00 at Doncaster for the second consecutive year. He returns from a 350-day break, but that shouldn’t be an inconvenience as he won this last year off the back of a 391-day absence.

James Ewart does well with other trainers’ cast-offs, 6-18 (33%) and he runs Bluefortytwo in the 5.15 at Perth. The gelding finished second on his sole start for Donald Whillans back in January and can go one better here.
