Sweetspots: Franklin can spark back to form at Nottingham

Richard Hannon and Frankie Dettori have an impressive 46 per cent strike-rate when they combine at Lingfield. Shaiyem goes for the pair in the 4.15, and looks to have a big chance.
Eric Alston and Neil Farley have a 33 per cent strike-rate when they team up at Nottingham. Lord Franklin (4.25), a course-and-distance winner, has shown nothing on his two starts this year, but a return to this track can spark him back to form.

Charlie Appleby was successful with his sole three-year-old debutant at Thirsk. Tribal Conquest, who runs in the 8.15, looks to make his record two from two.
Bescot Springs has a record of 4-10 at Hexham and runs in the 3.30. That record improves to 3-6 when running over today’s distance. Off bottom weight he should go well.
