Evan Williams' strike-rate improves from 13 per cent to 28 per cent with travellers over 200 miles. He sends just one horse to Sedgefield, Hughesie, who runs in the 7.30. Adam Wedge, who has a 46 per cent strike-rate at the track, takes the ride.

Ellaal hasn’t shown much on his last six starts but he has an excellent record of 4-10 at Musselburgh, and runs in the 7.10. When running off today’s mark of 69 (or lower) at the track, he has form figures of 12116122. Paul Mulrennan and Ruth Carr have a 50 per cent strike-rate when teaming up at the track.
Sir Mark Prescott has a 28 per cent strike-rate at Redcar, and sends Turning Gold to the track for the 4.00. The gelding showed very little in maidens but a slight step up in distance on his first start in handicap company (Prescott 23-102, 23 per cent strike-rate) could bring about improvement.
