Sweetspots: Charlton set to unleash useful newcomer Tempus
Rock Warbler (7.45 Newcastle) tries to follow up his win in this race last year off a 6lb lower mark. He has won four of his nine starts at the course and looks to be returning to form.
Roger Charlton is not known for debut winners, but he has a 2-4 record on the Rowley Mile with such runners. Tempus (4.10) is bred in the purple and her half-sister Time Chaser won on her first start for the yard last year.

Emma Lavelle has a 9-42 strike-rate with her handicap debutants, 5-20 with stable switchers and 3-5 with those wearing a hood for the first time. Boreham Bill (4.00 Worcester) fulfils all the criteria above and looks to have a live chance.
