Sweetspots: Bowen’s claim looks vital to chances of Flint fancy

Highland Acclaim runs in the 3.10 at Epsom, a race he won 12 months ago. Running off the same mark as he did last year, he looks sure to run well with trainer David O’Meara’s stable in good form.

John Flint operates at a 22 per cent strike-rate at Newton Abbot and sends just one runner there, Cillian’s Well, who goes in the 6.35. James Bowen takes off a valuable 7lb and a drop into Class 4 company can see him go close.

Keith Dalgleish and Graham Lee have a 36 per cent strike-rate at Carlisle and team up with Rocket Man Dan, who goes in the 5.45. He has been gelded since his last run and looks well handicapped on his two-year-old form.
