Usually when a Willie Mullins horse wins on its hurdling debut after first scoring in a bumper at the Punchestown festival, derisory quotes for a host of Cheltenham races would normally follow.
This hasn't been the case with Cilaos Emery, however. He can be backed at 25-1 for the Supreme Novices' despite making a hugely encouraging return to the track at Navan on Sunday.
A feature of the win was his fluent jumping, very impressive for a first attempt, and also the fact he was able to put six lengths on the favourite, Joey Sasa, by the line.
