Horatio Hornblower (yellow): two wins and two placings from five starts at Ffos LasCredit: Alan Crowhurst

Lambourn: James Burn

Wishicould (4.10 Ffos Las, nap)

Useful mare had last season off and ran respectably on her comeback at Plumpton in December, but has not built on that in two subsequent outings. However, she wants bottomless ground and a chance is taken on one of Britain's most testing tracks rejuvenating her.

Others to follow
Ffos Las: 2.00 Shaughnessy, 3.40 Milansbar, 4.45 Dara's Present.
Plumpton: 2.15 Don Des Fosses, 2.45 Zanzi Win, 3.55 Vieux Lille, 4.25 Bazarov.

West Country: Andrew King

Cadeau Du Bresil (3.55 Plumpton, nap)

Unfortunate not follow up his course and distance victory last time and can gain compensation on this occasion.

Others to follow
Ffos Las: 3.40 Horatio Hornblower, 4.10 Lamanver Odyssey, 5.15 Tara West.
Plumpton: 2.15 Western Morning.

Racing Post Ratings: Steve Mason

Zanzi Win (2.45 Plumpton, nap)

Decent on the Flat and shaped like a certain future winner at Fakenham last month. Failed to match that level latest, but should be suited by the return to a left-handed track.

Topspeed: Dave Edwards

Zanzi Win (2.45 Plumpton)

Has improved his speed rating on each of his four runs for Harry Whittington, has found one too good twice recently and can deservedly get off the mark.

Longshot: Ben Harris

Pleasurable (2.35 Cork)

Lightly raced filly who contested some decent maidens last year. She fared better than her form figures suggest, and she looks to be on a good mark judged on those efforts.

Ireland: Tony O'Hehir

Eclair De Beaufeu (2.55 Fairyhouse)

Back in novice company after two good efforts in competitive handicaps and he can deliver a third win over hurdles in this Grade 2 contest.

The Raceform Interactive nugget

Horatio Hornblower has two wins and two places from five starts at Ffos Las. He makes plenty of each-way appeal in the 3.40.
