Thrown in at the deep end after winning his maiden and travelled better than anything bar winner Shang Shang Shang in the Norfolk at Royal Ascot but looked to be running out of gas close home and only just held on for fourth.

Whether it was inexperience or he did too much too soon, he sure showed the benefit of that when powering away for a commanding win in the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood and was never stronger than at the finish.
