With a BHA rating of 159, this eight-year-old is among the highest-rated novice chasers running at this year's festival and he looked a stayer in the making when running away with a novice handicap chase at Naas last time.

That race was over only 2m4f, but Edwulf powered clear from the second-last and it was his stamina that won the race. He had previously finished second over 3m11/2f at Punchestown in December and the return to a stiffer test is in his favour.
