This was a hugely encouraging debut from The Right Choice, who finished a close fourth in this good race.

Richard Fahey’s newcomer faced several race-fit rivals and his inexperience was evident with a slow start. However, he travelled well behind the leaders having made up the lost ground without too much fuss and wasn’t knocked about when unable to win.

I loved the way this quality colt gradually learned what the job is about and he should win a maiden.
