Step up to seven furlongs should suit Elizabeth Bennet

Elizabeth Bennet has been declared for the Listed Longines Irish Champions Weekend EBF Stallions Star Stakes (3.05) at Sandown.

This race has been the plan since she ran in another Listed race at Newmarket and she’s worked nicely since then. She seemed to fluff her lines a little bit, but one of the horses next to her went under the stalls and she lost her concentration. I think stepping up to 7f will help.

Thafeera was drawn very wide at Chelmsford last time and got caught out there all the way round, so I’m hoping for better in the Get 1/4 Odds At 188Bet Maiden Fillies’ Stakes (2.10) at Yarmouth on Thursday.

Coral Sea makes the journey to Doncaster for the Sky Bet Go-Racing-In-Yorkshire Summer Festival Handicap (7.20).

She didn’t seem to get into it at Newmarket last time but was a little bit in season after, which wouldn’t have helped. She’s just been ticking over since as she’s not a filly we need to do too much with. I hope there are still good races in her.
