Lisp ran a cracking race when second in the Gerry Feilden at Newbury and followed up with another fine effort in the Betfair Trophy here in December. He has a lot of weight off 5lb higher here and there may be one or two better handicapped.

Usually run at Newbury, this event has been dominated by novices with seven successful since 2010, while only two were victorious between 1972 and 2008. Getaway Trump ran an excellent race when second to Champ in the Challow Hurdle and Large Action was successful in that contest before his victory in 1994 off the same mark of 142. Getaway Trump travels well, has the stamina and four of the last five winners had a smart Graded placing last time.
