Sprinter will be hard to beat if breaking on terms

Credit: Edward Whitaker

No. 3
Youkan
5.20 Salisbury
1pt win at 100-30Youkan has a tendency to break slowly, but he's not usually as bad as he was at Goodwood last time, where he managed to get within three-quarters of a length of the winner despite being blowing in a big way at the gates.

That was over 6f and he's back down to 5f now, but I reckon a stiff 5f is what he really wants as he's never that strong at the finish over 6f and as long as they don't get away from him early I make him the one to beat.

That Goodwood form has worked out nicely as runner-up Fantasy Keeper was well backed when winning at Sandown yesterday and the sixth, Tawny Port, won at Windsor on Monday.
