Sprinter can bounce back on course he handles well

No. 3
Aeolus
3.35 Doncaster
1pt win at 10-1 generallyAeolus started this season well, breaking a long losing run off his reduced mark of 100 at Newmarket, but it hasn't gone so well since and he's now 3lb lower than for that success.

I don't think he has run that badly on his last two outings, though, as 61/2f proved a shade too far when he was too keen in first-time blinkers here and he missed the kick badly and stayed on late next time over 5f at Haydock.

Six furlongs is his trip and his three runs over that distance on this course give cause for encouragement. The first was way back in 2013 when he found only subsequent 2,000 Guineas winner Night Of Thunder too good, while in November 2016 he was beaten only a nose in Listed company.
