Southwell Placepot picks: Robbie Wilders goes for the £100,00 all-weather pot

The guaranteed £100,000 pool is on the all-weather at Southwell and Hit Mac makes most appeal in the opening 5f handicap (5.30). He has finished in the first three on each of his five handicap starts.

Raffles Rebel relished a first crack at 1m4f when staying on into second at Wolverhampton last time and is fancied to hit the frame back over that distance in the next (6.00).

So, too, is course-and-distance-winner Miss Sligo, who showed more after a 78-day break at Chelmsford in January and is now 5lb below her last winning mark.

I'm torn between Albion Princess and Wadacre Grace in the mile fillies' handicap (6.30). Albion Princess landed a gamble for connections at Kempton last month and can rate higher still, while Wadacre Grace is consistent and will surely be in the shake-up.

Spirit Of Nguru is banked on in the next (7.00). This lightly raced four-year-old is interesting with useful 3lb claimer Adam Farragher taking over after a good second at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day.

Zealot, short-priced favourite for the mile handicap (7.30), might be vulnerable in his bid for a four-timer against another recent winner in Tropez Power, who saves his best for the all-weather.

The concluding staying handicap (8.00) can go the way of Gentle Fire, who relished a first try at 1m6f five days ago and should be tough to beat under a penalty.
