Fairview stages the penultimate card in South Africa before the country enters a three-week lockdown on Friday.

Racing at the Port Elizabeth venue will take place on the Polytrack circuit, situated on the inside of the turf course, which was opened in 2013. It has a run-in of just 2f, so all races on the card will take place around a bend.

Lady Of Choice is likely to be sent off at odds-on in the 1m1f fillies' maiden at 11.30, but Salvadora looks the value alternative.

A daughter of Eclipse winner Oratorio, this filly travelled sweetly when runner-up over course and distance recently but found herself having to switch at the same time the winner had gone for home. She couldn't make up the ground despite finishing strongly.

Backers will be hoping for a Juan Nel victory – that's the name of his trainer, who's based at Fairview and spent time working for Mike de Kock in Newmarket.

Jackpot Jewel can sparkle in the mile maiden for older horses at 12.00.

A consistent type, he was a solid second on his debut for trainer Sharon Kotzen on the turf here last month, when he was noted doing his best work towards the finish. Better drawn than market rival Falling For You, he's yet to race on Polytrack but ought to cope with it and this looks his ideal distance.

A low draw is a definite advantage in races here at a mile and shorter and Royal Fort, the selection in the 6f handicap (1.00), will come out of gate two.

He was runner-up on turf here recently and the winner went on to finish second in a big field event on Friday. Trained by Gavin Smith, who was on target here last week, Royal Fort was to be ridden by champion-elect Warren Kennedy but MJ Byleveld is an able deputy.

Alan Greeff is South Africa's leading trainer in terms of races won and the locally based reigning champion, who had three winners at Fairview on Friday, can strike with Miss Orange in the 2.00.

Greeff runs four in total but the selection gets on well with jockey Teague Gould and will appreciate the step back up in trip. She was successful on her only previous attempt over course and distance and is sired by Duke Of Marmalade, winner of the King George and the Juddmonte International for Aidan O'Brien in 2008.
