Signposts: Super Simon Walker can score again at Southwell

Mark Johnston sends two horses 271 miles to Lingfield and Kalagia, who runs in the 3.15, can make the trip worthwhile. On breeding this filly should have no problem with the all-weather surface and she remains unexposed.

Amateur rider Simon Walker rides very well at Southwell, where he boasts an impressive 38 per cent strike-rate. He rides Isstoora for Archie Watson in the 4.55. The filly has a good draw and is already a winner over course and distance.

Simon Crisford has a very good strike-rate with his horses at this time of year and he saddles Mordin in the 6.45 at Kempton. There looks to be more to come from this horse – who won nicely on debut – and the in-form James Doyle takes the ride.
