Hugo Palmer enlists a hood to good effect (six winners from 15 runners) so don’t be put off Dragon Kuza at Chelmsford (5.50). His dam won over 5f as a two-year-old and he may have enough with the headgear to help.

Monks Stand reeled off a quickfire treble over 6f at Southwell in March/April and returns after a small break. Today’s race (3.50) is over 7f, but the way he finished off at Southwell suggests the extra furlong is suitable.
