It looked for all the world that Karakoul needed his reappearance at the Curragh and it would come as no surprise to see him take a giant leap forward to land the opening 7f maiden at Limerick.

Karakoul traded at a low of 1.04 on Betfair in a Killarney maiden last July. He was beaten a neck there and was sandwiched in between the Ballysax one-two – Piz Badile and Buckaroo – who are now rated 108 and 107.
