Plenty of promising juveniles were seen out last week and there will be more to come as the turf Flat season reaches a busy conclusion. The testing ground on offer makes these races a little more difficult to assess.

This newcomer by Churchill made a very good impression on his Gowran debut. He was slowly away, off the pace for much of the race and did not really get going until well inside the 2f pole, but from a furlong out he really began to pick up and ran on strongly to the line to be beaten less than two lengths.
