Lightly raced stayer who finished second in last year's St Leger before landing the Noel Murless at this track. This has been his target all year and, with ground to suit and first-time cheekpieces fitted, he's a dark horse against Stradivarius and Trueshan.

Count D'Orsay (3.40 Catterick)

Won this race in 2019 and finished runner-up last year off 2lb higher than today's mark. Has come close to matching that form this year, including when finishing a good third in the Portland last month, and this could be run to suit.

Creative Force (2.00 Ascot)

Has thrived in his work since finding the ground plenty quick enough at Haydock last time and should enjoy this easier surface.

Master Of The Seas (3.10 Ascot)

Just denied in the 2,000 Guineas and did not get the run of the race when a beaten favourite at headquarters last month, but is entitled to improve and can ruffle a few feathers.

Happy Romance (2.00 Ascot)

Has progressed well this season, winning the Hackwood at Newbury in July before running well in the Sprint Cup. Looked inconvenienced by the heavy ground in the Commonwealth Cup and better can be expected back at Ascot here.
