Rochester House is by Galileo out of a mare who won a 1m4½f Group 3, so it might not be expected for him to have raced 17 times by this point in his career. He is trained by Mark Johnston, though, which explains that and plenty besides.

Johnston is known for sending his horses to the well more often than other trainers and his jam-today approach has brought unprecedented success. It means that his horses are more exposed, but also you can always forgive them a bad run and it does not erode natural development.
